How Long Does it Take to Be Approved?

Local districts in NY will generally notify you by mail within 45 days if your application has been accepted or denied. Some instances could speed up, or prolong, this process. For instance, if you have applied for disability, your situation will need to be evaluated, and it could take up to 90 days. However, pregnant women or adults applying on the behalf of a child will have their application accepted or denied within 30 days from the application date.
